What is Maaser Mart?
Maaser Mart is a directory designed to help people find worthwhile Jewish charities and make informed decisions about where to give their maaser and tzedakah.
There are countless worthy organizations to support, but finding the right one can be difficult. Maaser Mart brings charities together in one place, making it easier to discover organizations that match your interests and values.
Discover Charities
Browse a growing directory of tzedakah organizations. Search for specific organizations or browse by category, such as yeshivas, synagogues, educational organizations, community services, and more.
Each charity can have its own page containing a description, information about the organization, links to its website and donation page, and other useful information.
Rabbinic Haskamos
Maaser Mart can include haskamos from rabbis who have been approved by our administrators. Rabbis may indicate their support for an organization and can optionally provide a rating or written comment. (They may even be allowed to write something negative about a charity.)
This information is intended to give users additional context when considering where to donate.
Keep Information Current
Charity information and rabbinic recommendations can change over time. Maaser Mart keeps track of when information was last updated, helping users understand how current the information they are viewing is.
Personalized Recommendations
Users will be able to create an account and have their own personal dashboard. The dashboard can keep track of charities they have viewed and help them discover other organizations that may interest them.
Recommendations can be based on the types of charities and organizations a user has shown interest in.

Looking for something specific? Search for a charity by name or search by the type of organization you are interested in supporting.
Charities are organized into categories so that users can more easily find organizations that fit their interests.

Our goal is to make giving tzedakah easier, more informed, and more accessible by connecting donors with organizations that are doing meaningful work.
Maaser Mart is being built by Orthodox Jews who understand the importance of giving maaser and want to make the process of deciding where to give simpler and more useful.
